Dr. Sheila Shilati

CHIEF STRATEGY OFFICER & PARTNER

Dr. Sheila Shilati has over 20 years experience in behavioral health. As an executive, owner, consultant, and investor, she has developed a specific lens for treatment. Dr. Shilati was previously the Chief Operating Officer for Seasons Recovery Centers, LLC., since 2011, and founder of Vantage Point Recovery since 2009. She started her career in 2004 and has developed a trusted reputation of advancing organizations and supporting strategic growth plans focusing on leadership development, revenue development, employee retention, corporate culture, infrastructure, and collaborating with executives for high level decision making. She serves on the board of directors for the Behavioral Health Care Endowment Fund.

She has served as an international ambassador and participant in two separate medical and relief expeditions overseas in Iran and Africa, working directly with victims of natural disasters and HIV/AIDS. She has been a guest lecturer in various university settings including California State University Northridge, Pepperdine University, California Lutheran University, and Oxnard College. Her expertise in the business of treatment has been featured on various platforms and media outlets, including but not limited to appearances on KTLA, KABC, US News, Entertainment Tonight, and ReWired Radio.

Dr. Benjamin Flores

Medical Director & Psychiatry

Dr. Benjamin Flores began his over 25 year career in academic psychiatry, with a focus on research and teaching in the areas of pharmacology, genetics, physiology, neuroimaging and cognitive testing at Stanford University. He also spent time at Stanford as a fellow and attending physician in the Mood Disorders Clinic, Psychopharmacology Clinic, Medical Psychiatry Unit, Eating Disorders Unit, Consultation and Liaison Service, and ECT Service. With this experience, and his extensive qualifications and licensure in psychiatry and pharmacology, Dr. Flores was uniquely qualified to launch and develop his current private practice in which he blends his expertise in psychiatry and pharmacology to thoughtfully serve the needs of his clients. He serves clients around the country and globally and has offices located in both Northern and Southern California. In his spare time, he enjoys travel, hiking, running and exploring new restaurants and destinations with his wife and family.

Dr. Ashley Conner

Chief Clinical Officer

With her Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from the California School of Professional Psychology, Dr. Ashley Conner has trained with world-renowned industry leading professionals, in a variety of evidence-based modalities including: high fidelity and comprehensive Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Analysis of System Psychotherapy (CBASP), and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing therapy (EMDR).

DBT-informed therapy in the treatment of borderline personality disorder, trauma, relationship difficulties, and addiction. She helps clients find comfort in their skin, understand life experiences, develop inner wisdom and practical skills, and make mindful progress toward life goals.

Darren Misaresh, MBA

Darren Misaresh is an LA native with a passion for business and has over a decade of experience in the mental health and medical fields. Darren feels that understanding people, what motivates them and knowing how to create meaningful positions within companies is the cornerstone of building an amazing treatment team.

Nancee Jaffe, RD

Lead dietician

Nancee Jaffe has been instrumental in the state of California for developing Digestive Health and Nutrition Programs since 2012. Nancee continues to offer clinical nutrition counseling for conditions such as irritable bowel syndrome, inflammatory bowel disease, celiac disease, short bowel syndrome, functional bowel disorders, and more.

Nancee participates in nutrition-based research to help further diet intervention in digestive conditions. She has also led efforts to formalize a GI-specific dietitian group under the American Gastroenterological Association and the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics, which became official in 2020, and was invited to Chair the new ROME Foundation Diet & Nutrition Section in 2024.

Jaffe earned her Master of Science in Nutrition from California State University, Los Angeles, and completed her dietetic internship at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center and UCLA. Her deep commitment to digestive health began in 2002, following a challenging personal journey with celiac disease after contracting a parasite during a study abroad in Ecuador. This experience inspired her to pursue a career dedicated to helping others with gastrointestinal disorders and related conditions, including immune system issues, allergies, rheumatological disorders, and dysautonomia.

Jaffe specializes in managing a range of complex gastrointestinal and related conditions. Her focus includes celiac disease, gluten-associated disorders, diverticular disease, and dysautonomia, including POTS and MCAS. She also addresses food allergies, GERD, gastroparesis, GI cancers, inflammatory bowel diseases like Crohn’s and ulcerative colitis, and IBS. Additionally, Jaffe is experienced in treating rheumatological conditions with GI involvement, such as rheumatoid arthritis and scleroderma, as well as small intestinal bacterial overgrowth (SIBO), intestinal methanogen overgrowth (IMO), and small bowel obstructions.

Dr. Ben Nakanishi

Psychologist

Dr. Ben Nakanishi recognizes that life’s challenges can often leave us feeling anxious, depressed, or emotionally overwhelmed. His approach to therapy is to creative a safe environment to explore difficulties openly and honestly through through acceptance and compassion.

Anxiety and depression in adolescents, adults, families, and couples, drawing from a variety of therapeutic orientations and techniques, with specialization in psychodynamic and psychoanalytic approaches.

Dr. Cate Vogl

Psychologist & EMDR

Dr. Cate Vogl holds both a master’s degree in marriage and family therapy from The University of Southern California and a doctorate in clinical psychology from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology. She was drawn to this work as a deeply feeling individual, seeking a path that allowed her to help others.

 

She has over a decade of experience studying human behavior through her time at various intensive outpatient programs (IOPs) and residential facilities like Dimensions, Hazelden Betty Ford, and Paradigm. Additionally, she completed a postdoctoral fellowship in oncology that led her to run the kids’ program for Cancer Support Community in Los Angeles.

Dr. Vogl specializes in treating depression, anxiety, and trauma. She also focuses on life transitions, parenting challenges, postpartum issues, and relationships.

 

She has specialized training in Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) for couples, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) for trauma, and the Reflective Parenting Program (RPP) for parents.

Dr. Kristin Lee

Psychologist & Brainspotting

Dr. Kristin Lee holds a bachelor’s degree in biology and a doctorate in clinical psychology (PsyD). She practices through a psychodynamic lens with the incorporation of behavioral interventions. Her initial studies on how an animal’s environment impacts its behavior expanded to include human psychology, which inspired a career built around looking at emotional health in a more global way.

Her background includes facilitating groups focused on intimate partner violence in same-gender relationships at the Los Angeles Gay and Lesbian Center. She has also spent time facilitating the treatment of complex trauma, support with life transitions and effective interpersonal dynamics at Crossroads Institute for Psychotherapy and Assessment, and WISE & Healthy Aging in Santa Monica.

Dr. Lee provides brainspotting and individual psychotherapy for anxiety, depression, complex trauma, life transitions, and relationship issues. She specializes in concerns specifically related to the LGBTQIA+ community.

Dr. Sepi Kohn

Board Certified by the state of California in Acupuncture and Herbal Medicine, Dr. Sepi Kohn holds a Ph.D. in Eastern Medicine and Science, along with a Master’s Degree in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine. Her has extensive training and clinical experience, practicing acupuncture since 2010, partnering with a Neurologist for 3 years and serving at a Mental Health & Addiction Outpatient Clinic for 5 years. Dr. Kohn’s core value is to provide personalized attention and holistic treatments, aiming for optimum physical, mental, and emotional health.

Dr. Charles Martone

Jessica Bishop, MA

Somatic Experience

Jessica Bishop is a trauma-informed E-RYT (Experienced Registered Yoga Teacher, Yoga Alliance), meditation teacher, and reiki practitioner. She received certifications and advanced training through CorePower Yoga, YogaWorks, and Loka Yoga School. Addressing trauma holistically and somatically, using mindfulness practices to create balance and focus. She leads customized private and group sessions.

 

In addition to working with individual clients, she conducts corporate programs for Fortune 500 companies and retreats at five-star resorts.

She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Sociology from Loyola Marymount University and a Master’s Degree in Clinical Psychology, emphasizing trauma treatment, from Antioch University. During her Marriage & Family therapy program, Jessica recognized the importance of nervous system regulation and body-oriented treatment in trauma healing.Silver is a somatic therapy specialist and certified transformative bodywork practitioner with over fifteen years of experience in private, residential, and intensive outpatient settings.

Laura McLauchlin, LMFT

With a Master of Science in Marriage and Family Therapy from Cal State LA, Laura McLauchlin has been active in addiction recovery since 2010, in both inpatient and outpatient settings. Her roles have included individual and family therapist, group facilitator, and interim clinical director.

Ashley Boettcher is a seasoned mental health and substance abuse case manager with extensive experience in the recovery field. She has worked alongside leading professionals and completed comprehensive training in various treatment modalities, including RO-DBT, DBT, motivational interviewing, and crisis management. Ashley specializes in developing highly individualized treatment plans and collaborating with other professionals to provide comprehensive wraparound care, believing that each individual benefits from a tailored approach.

Sustainable implementation of life and DBT skills, advocacy and communication to ensure a positive client experience, and bridging 12-step recovery with therapeutic tools.

Dr. Damon Raskin

Internist

Dr. Damon Raskin, a Board Certified Addiction Medicine specialist with 19 years of experience, has dedicated his career to guiding patients through both minor and major medical interventions. Featured on national television programs such as ABC’s Nightline and Good Morning America, Dr. Raskin provides expert commentary on a wide range of topics, including general medicine, geriatric health, and addiction. Graduating from Stanford University, he completed his medical education at George Washington University and his internship and residency at UCLA.

Specializing in addiction medicine, Dr. Raskin serves as a medical specialist at Cliffside Malibu, focusing on detoxification. Emphasizing the importance of a gradual approach to detox, he believes sudden withdrawal can be as harmful as the addiction itself. Dr. Raskin’s expertise lies in navigating the fine line between treating legitimate cognitive issues with medicine and addressing substance abuse. Kimberly Lange is a registered nurse with over 15 years of experience. She began her career in acute obstetrics at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) Medical Center and has since expanded her practice to include post-surgical care as well as both inpatient and outpatient mental health and substance abuse recovery programs. She believes that collaboration with patients and families is essential for achieving positive outcomes in all aspects of health and wellness. Kimberly Lange is a registered nurse with over 15 years of experience.

With over two decades of experience, Jen Gasper is an elite certified health coach, functional range conditioning mobility coach, personal trainer, and yoga teacher. She holds certifications from institutions like NASM, including CPT, CES, PES, FSN, FRCms, and Kinstretch, as well as the Institute for Integrative Nutrition. She designs effective and safe programs that challenge and inspire clients to achieve their goals.

Shon Lange grew up in a South suburb of Chicago.Joined the military at 21 years old, 6’4″ 148lbs. Left the military 4 years later at 245lbs.Spoke in front of 30,000 people at the RBC Center in NC.Attended The Second City in Chicago after the military.Trains here in Los Angeles under the brilliant guidance of Benjamin Byron Davis.
