Healing Your Mind, Body and Soul
Making Space for Healing

We understand that these experiences can be difficult and painful, and we are here to provide support and guidance through evidence-based grief counseling and holistic interventions.

Personal Experience with Grief and Loss

Grief and loss are natural responses to experiencing a significant change or loss in one’s life. These changes can come in the form of death, divorce, illness, job loss, or other major life transitions. Everyone experiences grief and loss differently, and there is no right or wrong way to grieve. However, some common symptoms of grief include persistent sadness, emotional numbness, intrusive memories, sleep disturbances, appetite changes, difficulty concentrating, irritability, anxiety, physical fatigue, or a sense of meaninglessness.

The Nature of Grief

Grief is a deeply personal and nonlinear process that touches every dimension of the human experience—emotional, physical, relational, and spiritual. It does not usually unfold in predictable stages and may resurface unexpectedly over time. While grief reflects the depth of attachment and love, it can also disrupt one’s sense of identity, meaning, and stability. Healing does not mean forgetting or “moving on,” but gradually integrating loss into a life that continues forward.

Our Integrated Approach to Grief Counseling

Here at Malone Collective, we understand the need to integrate new emotions and identities into your existing framework. We offer a blend of therapeutic grief support, grief counseling, and wellness practices specifically designed to help you live with grief. Our approach honors both the emotional processing needed during times of grieving and the practical support that can make living not just bearable but enjoyable again.

We provide grief counseling for the loss of a spouse, parent, child, pregnancy, pet, or other deeply meaningful relationship. Through grief therapy, clients often experience increased emotional regulation, reduced intensity of painful memories, restored sleep and appetite patterns, and a renewed ability to engage meaningfully in relationships and daily life.

Therapeutic Models for Grief and Loss Therapy

At Malone Collective, we use evidence-based practices for bereavement support to help individuals process their grief and find healing, including:

  • Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT): This therapy can help individuals challenge negative thoughts and emotions that may be contributing to their grief.
  • Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR): EMDR has been shown to reduce the symptoms of grief and trauma.
  • Art and Music Therapy: The use of creative expression can allow a person to process deep, frightening, or complex feelings.
Holistic Interventions

In addition to evidence-based practices, we also offer holistic interventions to help individuals coping with grief and loss. These holistic interventions can help individuals connect with their emotions in a safe and supportive environment and can often provide a sense of comfort and relief. These interventions may include:

  • Spiritual Counseling: This type of counseling integrates faith, meditation, and prayer to help individuals process loss, find meaning, and restore hope.
  • Acupuncture and Chiropractic Support: These supports can help manage physical symptoms and contribute to overall wellness.
  • Yoga and Meditation: Both practices are used to help regulate emotions and calm the nervous system.
