Taking the first step can feel like the hardest part.
We’ve designed our process to make it simple, and to ensure that from the moment you reach out, every detail is shaped around you.
It starts with a phone call. Not an intake form. Not an automated system.
You’ll speak directly with Alexis Haines or one of the owners, who pride themselves on ensuring a direct, personal connection to The Malone Collective from the very first conversation.
This call is about listening, not selling. There’s no rush and no pressure.
We’ll take the time to understand:
- What's happening in your life right now
- What's brought you to this moment
- What you're hoping to achieve
You’ll be walked through how the program works, given the chance to ask questions, and guided through a detailed pre-screening so our clinical team has early insight into your history, your goals, and any immediate needs.
If we’re not the right fit, we’ll tell you honestly and connect you with someone who is.
All pre-work is conducted virtually, so you can begin the process from wherever you are.
- A biopsychosocial evaluation
- A meeting with our Chief Clinical Officer, Dr. Ashley Conner
- A consultation with a member of our nursing team
- Collateral information gathered, with your permission, from the people and providers who know you best
Together, these inputs give us the clearest possible understanding of who you are and what you need, so that the program we build is grounded in a complete picture rather than a partial one.
For clients seeking the most comprehensive diagnostic picture available, we also offer AXIS, our signature three-day assessment experience that brings together neuropsychology, psychiatry, medicine, clinical psychology, and nutrition into a single integrated evaluation. Learn more about AXIS.
Based on the findings from your assessment, our team consults collaboratively to design a program built entirely around your needs.
You’ll review the proposed plan and sign off before anything begins. Nothing is prescribed without your input. This is a co-created process.
You’ll choose from four program levels, each structured around weekly one-on-one sessions with our licensed providers:
- Nine: 9 hours per week across 3 days
- Twelve: 12 hours per week across 3 to 4 days
- Sixteen: 16 hours per week across 4 to 5 days
- Twenty: 20 hours per week across 5 days
Every session is one-on-one. There is no group therapy.
Your week may include:
- Psychotherapy
- Psychiatric care
- Nutritional counseling
- Somatic experiencing
- Personal training
- Acupuncture
- Spiritual counseling
- Chiropractic care
- And other modalities tailored to your plan
All of it is coordinated by a dedicated case manager who ensures nothing falls through the cracks.
With approximately 17 fully licensed providers supporting a maximum of 25 clients at any given time, the ratio of clinician to client is unlike anything in the industry.
You’ll receive your personalized schedule the Friday before your start date, with most clients beginning on a Monday.
From day one, you’re immersed. Not in a generic curriculum, but in a program designed in direct response to your assessment findings.
Your case manager checks in weekly to ensure you feel supported, and our clinical team meets regularly to track your progress and adjust your plan in real time.
For clients traveling to Santa Monica, we coordinate housing options including preferred rates at the Proper Hotel, located directly adjacent to our practice, as well as other accommodations suited to your preferences.
Treatment is structured in four-week cycles.
At the end of each cycle, your team reassesses your progress and collaborates with you on next steps. Most clients choose to extend well beyond the initial four weeks, with many remaining for 90 days or longer.
As you progress, you have the option to step down in intensity:
- From 20 hours to 16
- From 16 to 12
- And eventually to 9 hours per week
This graduated approach ensures that the skills and breakthroughs from your intensive work are integrated into your daily life at a sustainable pace, rather than ending abruptly.
We don’t operate in a silo.
Throughout your time with us, and after, we maintain close collaboration with your outside professionals, whether that’s a therapist, psychiatrist, case manager, or referring treatment center.
Your progress is communicated clearly and consistently so that the work you do here carries forward into every aspect of your life.

- Some are stepping down from residential treatment and want to set themselves up for long-term success.
- Some have tried therapy for years and feel stuck in the same patterns.
- Some are high-functioning professionals who can't step away from their careers for a month but know something has to change.
- And some simply see the writing on the wall and are ready to act before things get worse.
What unites them is motivation: a willingness to engage, to be open to guidance, and to invest in a fundamentally different experience.
If that sounds like you, we’d like to hear from you.
