Acupuncture is a time-honored therapy that forms a core component of Traditional Chinese Medicine. It has become an integral part of our practice at The Malone Collective and is often used to support hormonal balance, circulation, nervous system regulation, and overall wellbeing.
The practice involves the insertion of very thin needles through the skin along the meridians in the body through which “qi” flows, known as “acupoints.” By stimulating these points, acupuncture aims to balance the body’s energy and support the healing process.
Individual results may vary. Acupuncture may be used to support the following areas:
- May support healthy digestion
- May support reproductive wellness
- Clients often report improved sleep quality
- May help promote mental clarity and focus
- May help support natural energy levels
- Often used to help manage discomfort and tension
- May help support immune function
During the first acupuncture session, our practitioner will assess the client’s condition and create a treatment plan tailored to their specific needs, in communication with their wider-care team.
The sessions typically last between 45–60 minutes, during which the acupuncturist will insert needles at strategic “acupoints” on the body (many patients report feeling minimal discomfort). The needles are usually retained between 5–30 minutes, resulting in a feeling of energy or relaxation.
